We're delighted to welcome Hannah Miller, former Head of Casting at the Royal Shakespeare Company, for a live online conversation with Shapes in Motion.
We'll explore casting, performance, character, the realities of the industry and whatever questions you would like to bring to the conversation.
Hannah Miller
Hannah was the RSC’s Head of Casting from 2008-2022. Previously she worked as Casting Assistant at the National Theatre (1998-2002), Deputy Head of Casting at the RSC (2003-2005) and Casting Director for Birmingham Rep (2005-2008). She now works as a freelance Casting Director and continues to cast My Neighbour Totoro for the RSC.
Hannah regularly works advising actors on professional development and demystifying casting. She has directed the ArtsEd Actors showcase since 2023 as well as showcases at East 15, Bristol School of Acting and Collective Acting Studio. Other directing work: Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night's Dream at East 15.
She continues to work on the RSC's Next Generation: Act programme, is a fellow of the RSA and an RSC Associate Artist.

Nothing really, maybe something to take notes on and with, bring your questions, an open mind and a smile.
DO I NEED to have already attended a Shapes in motion event?
No, not at all. This event is open to all. We can't wait to meet you all online.
CAN I ASK QUESTIONS THROUGHOUT THE SESSION?
There will be designated time and space for Q&A.
WHICH PROGRAM WILL WE USE TO MEET VIRTUALLY?
Zoom. A zoom link and reminders will be sent out to you prior to the event
WILL I RECEIVE A RECORDING OF THE session? Can I get a refund if I cannot attend?
This is event is non-refundable. A Replay of the event will be available for 7 days if you cannot attend live.
